On Friday December 16th, Class 3 Joy had a wonderful day in Dublin Zoo to gather information for their CSPE Action Project on Animal Welfare.

Toward the end of the first term Class Diane, 1st Years, participated in the Team Hope Shoebox Appeal 2011, in aid of the less fortunate children ages 2-4, 5-9 and 10-14, all over Eastern Europe, Africa and Russia.

In the boxes we placed various items such as goodies, teddies and sweets for the children.

Action Project, Class Alison welcomed two guest speakers from the Special Olympics.  Joanne, pictured on the left, showed her medals from many different events; while Sharon, a Special Olympics volunteer, shared how she got involved in 2003 when the Special Olympics came to Ireland.
