Congratulations to the 30 Transition Year students who took part in the Gaisce Adventure Journey in Glendalough on 3rd and 4th May!

As part of their Gaisce Award, the students commit to undertaking a commitment or project for a minimum of an hour a week for 13 weeks in each of the categories of Community Involvement, Personal Skill and Physical Recreation. The students then have to pick one category and do an additional 13 weeks in that category. To conclude, the students must organise and complete an overnight hike referred to as the Adventure Journey.

The students enjoyed glorious weather and hiked over 27kms over the two days. Well done to all involved including coordinating teacher Mr Doyle!
